How to configure AWS credentials using an IAM access key
Learn how to configure an AWS credential using an IAM access key in the Radius control plane
Radius uses cloud credentials to provision AWS and Azure resources. Choose a guide below to register an AWS IAM access key, configure IAM Roles for Service Accounts (IRSA), register an Azure service principal, or configure Azure workload identity. The identity needs permission to provision the resources your recipes create.
The same registered default cloud credential is also used when you configure S3 or Azure Blob storage for Terraform recipe state, independently of where the recipe provisions resources. Grant that identity the backend storage permissions described in the guide.
Credentials authorize access to cloud resources. The Environment and its Recipe Packs determine where and how those resources are deployed. See Configure AWS and Azure deployments for the complete setup path.
